TrueScripts Elevates Culture of Amazing Care with

Dream Manager and Director of People & Culture

July 2024 — TrueScripts, a pharmacist-founded and Team Member owned Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) company renowned for its commitment to "Amazing Care," announces further developments in its corporate culture initiatives with the appointment of two pivotal roles: the Dream Manager and the Director of People & Culture.

In line with TrueScripts' ethos that "Amazing Care starts from within," these strategic hires signify a dedicated focus on supporting the growth and development of its expanding team. These efforts ensure that the care and dedication the TrueScripts team extends to others are rooted in their own fulfillment and well-being.

TrueScripts President and CEO Dean Merder says, “As the TrueScripts team and organization continue to grow, it is our duty to ensure that our commitment to culture and Amazing Care remains as strong as ever. The addition of the Dream Manager and Director of People & Culture will allow us to continue supporting our team members in a way that enriches their lives, both personally and professionally. By investing in their dreams and well-being, we are better equipped to serve others and foster our mission of building lasting relationships.”

In alignment with this mission, TrueScripts is excited to share more on their recent advancements in team dynamics.

Introducing the Dream Manager: Inspired by Matthew Kelly’s book, The Dream Manager, TrueScripts is thrilled to welcome aboard Alissa Wichman, who will serve as a resource and confidant to the team.

As Dream Manager, Alissa will engage in meaningful discussions to uncover individual life aspirations, be they personal or professional. Through collaborative planning and support, she will help chart a course toward realizing these dreams, nurturing a culture where every team member can thrive holistically.

“A company can only become the-best-version-of-itself to the extent that its employees are becoming better versions of themselves.” - Matthew Kelly

Welcoming the Director of People & Culture: Joining the TrueScripts family to further support its culture and spearhead human resources initiatives is Vanessa Mayer as the Director of People & Culture.

By championing a culture of Amazing Care and embracing excellence through training initiatives, Vanessa’s work will equip team members with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional service across all facets of the organization.

By investing in the personal and professional development of its workforce, TrueScripts reaffirms its dedication to providing an unparalleled healthcare and human experience to everyone they serve.

At TrueScripts, giving isn’t just an occasional act—it’s woven into the fabric of who we are. From the company’s inception, our founders envisioned a culture that prioritized not just business success, but also the betterment of our communities. This commitment is reflected in everything we do, from our annual profit tithing to the personal generosity we encourage among our team members. Each year, TrueScripts donates 10% of its profits to charitable organizations. This isn’t a practice we adopted over time; it’s a cornerstone of our mission. It underscores our belief that success isn’t solely measured in dollars, but in the impact we can have on others. Our Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) program empowers every team member to make a difference. Each year, employees receive funds to donate to nonprofit organizations they’re passionate about. This program fosters personal connections to causes, ensuring our giving resonates deeply and authentically. But it doesn’t stop there. Around the holidays, team members are gifted additional RAK funds to spread kindness in everyday life. Whether it’s paying for a stranger’s coffee, leaving an extra-generous tip at a favorite restaurant, or helping a family in need, the choice is theirs. These acts of kindness create ripple effects, bringing joy and relief in ways that may seem small but often mean the world to those on the receiving end. In addition, we maintain a dedicated pool of RAK funds overseen by a committee. This resource allows us to respond to extraordinary circumstances—a coworker’s friend battling cancer, a family rebuilding after a house fire, or countless other situations where immediate support can provide a lifeline. At TrueScripts, giving extends beyond financial contributions. Our team actively participates in volunteer opportunities, faith-based services, and community events. Our goal is not only to share our expertise in prescription benefits but to create an environment of support and encouragement, fostering hope for those around us. We are proud of our giving culture and the difference we make—individually and collectively. Through intentional acts of kindness, faith-driven service, and community support, TrueScripts reaffirms its mission to not only improve lives but to inspire others to do the same.
